A place-based learning trail will connect the Norwich business district to downtown and the Northside. Not only is MathTalk Trail an added amenity in Brunswick that increases community attractiveness, but it will inspire and encourage infrastructure enhancements.  Through partnership with the City of Brunswick, Public Works improvements will be made to sidewalks, rights-of-way, and lighting.    

This will be an interactive, outdoor attraction utilizing Brunswick’s historic and civic locations that allows children and their caregivers to explore and improve math fluency and cultural literacy through augmented reality experiences.  

Research shows that positive early learning experiences in locations beyond the classroom strengthen and reinforce a love for learning. Math learning has been shown to be particularly critical to future success and has been identified as an educational need within Glynn County schools.
